On 28 November 1885, Belgic(2) made her first sailing in the White Star/Occidental & Oriental S.S. Co. joint service for which she was built, the San-Francisco - Yokohama - Hong Kong route. She served there until 1898, when she was sold to Atlantic Transport Line and renamed Mohawk.

Belgic(2)/Mohawk was scrapped some time in 1903.
